Building Bricks for the Arts Constructed through the winter of 1980-81 and dedicated in June 1981, the World Friendship Shell has hosted performers of all ages & caliber. After 15 years of superb service, the shell was ready for an update & enlargement. Men's & Women's dressing rooms were added and the stage was expanded to accommodate the larger groups being booked to perform. This expansion gave the community a new way to express themselves - an expression in 'brick'. Below the stage and sound wings are rows of bricks that can be purchased and engraved as a remembrance, be it for a loved one that has gone ahead, a special anniversary or even a new birth.
