Ivory D. Williams - "Grown Folks Talkin'...Hush" A Storytelling Experience
 

Detroit based Ivory D. Williams interweaves his stories with humor, wit and fun to engage audiences and spread positive messages. Promoting and perpetuating the ancient art of African and African American storytelling in the oral tradition. His multicultural stories humorously highlight the importance of character building and education in a highly interactive and entertaining, storytelling session.

Black Ash Basketry/ Native Fibers Demonstrations by Kelly Church

Kelly Church is a member of the Grand Traverse Band of Michigan. She is a fifth-generation Black Ash basket weaver and also works with birch bark, sweetgrass, and basswood. She will demonstrate how these materials are processed and used as the Anishnabe of Michigan would have for centuries.

Guy Louis Family Concert

Guy Lewis, a seasoned veteran with over 20 years of experience, will perform world-class music that will entertain adults and engage children in dancing and general merriment. As an expert with string instruments like guitar, mandolin, and many more, his shows are always a fun and entertaining event for all audiences.

Chris Measzros - "The Man of 1,000 Voices"

Chris Measzros is a storyteller who engages toddlers to teens through his interactive, hands-on storytelling style. Whether telling humorus stories from his own life, or breathing life into familiar classics, Chris keeps audiences captivated with voices, sound effects, and pantomime. Audience participation enriches the experience and requested program themes have included pirates, dragons, oceans & water, spies, safaris, the old west, winter holidays, and Hawain.
