June   2        The Burdons & Under Advisement    ***POSTPONED DUE TO INCLIMATE WEATHER - THIS EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED AT A LATER DATE***  Groove to the sounds of yesteryear as Bay Arts Council welcomes two local acts that can rock you out of your seats and on to the dance floor. The Burdons bring an original blend of classic rock swagger with new wave heart and harmony, while Under Advisement tears through a treasure-trove of classic rock hits. Both are sure to get a summer of great music rolling. 

June    9         Bay Concert Band   Sit back, relax and enjoy the sounds of the Bay Concert Band, as a trio of woodwinds, brass and percussion fill the summer night air. This eclectic concert will be filled with audience favorites, as well as choice selections from the band's season, brought to you by one of Bay City's premiere ensembles.

June    16       Bugs Beddow  The unique fusion of funk, blues and flute promises to bring the rhythm to the waterfront as Bugs Beddow and his band play trombone-driven soul tunes to jazz up your night.

June    23       'Lights' - A Tribute to Journey  ***WILL BE HELD AT THE STATE THEATER - 913 WASHINGTON AVE.*** Lights delivers a high-energy, enthusiastic show, filled with all Journey classics, as well as a few hidden gems from the Journey songbook. Hailing from Los Angeles, this group aims to connect with audiences and give them an experience that they won't soon forget.

July      7        'Serpentine Fire' - A Tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire  Complete with explosive horn and rhythm sections, Serpentine Fire will charm with soaring vocals and the musical chops you'd expect from an Earth, Wind & Fire tribute. With More energy than can be contained on stage, these infectious rhythms will keep you dancing until September. 

July       14      Tartan Terrors  The raucous Tartan Terrors are more than just a musical act, they are an event! Come witness one of North America's premiere Celtic heritage performance groups. Featuring blistering bagpipes, driving drums, highland dancers, and even a little comedy, the Tartan Terrors must be experienced to be believed.

July       21       Mama Kin' - A Tribute to Aerosmith  "Walk This Way" for an electrifying band that captures the true essence of Aerosmith. This Toronto-based band's high-energy stage show, elaborate constumes, and comprehensive set list will be able to convince any fan that the only thing better than Mama Kin is Aerosmith themselves.

July     28        Beatlegras   Bands have been covering the Beatles for decades, but none like this talented trio. Imagine the music of the 'Fab Four' shaken up with infusions of bluegrass and jazz, topped off with a classical twist. The result is a satisfying musical cocktail called Beatlegras

August  4       Jim Paravantes  Jim Paravantes possesses a smooth singing style that is perfect for swing and ballads and when it's time to accelerate the tempo, he's totally able and adept - an excellent improviser performing a repertoire of the Great American Songbook. Along with an orchestra that rivals that of Tommy Dorsey's, this more-than-capable crooner blends offers a smooth blend that will bring audiences back for more.

August  11      McGuffey Lane   McGuffey Lanehave been a household name throughout the midwest for nearly twenty years thanks to a mix of high-energy rock and contemporary country that earned them national acclaim in the early 1980s. Having toured with The Charlie Daniels Band and the Allman Brothers Band, this group is sure to bring big-ticket entertainment to the waterfront!

August  18     'Crush' - A Tribute to Bon Jovi   Complete with flowing locks and wicked guitar licks, Crush promises to take audiences more than 'half way there' when it comes to the full Bon Jovi experience. Playing all the hits and hitting all the notes, this high-energy band will 'let it rock' all night long

August   25    Persuasion   After a year's absence from the Shell, the self-proclaimed "Hottest Band In Metro Detroit" comes to Bay City to light up the stage. Persuasion plays the hits from Motown to R&B, Justin Timberlake to Frank Sinatra and everything in between. With an entertaining and flashy show, Persuasion promises to get you up and groovin'!

September 1  Phil Dirt & the Dozers   Bay City’s beloved Boys of Summer are back to let the good times roll! Celebrate the music of the 50’s & 60’s – with a smattering of the 70’s - as this popular band lights up the stage and rocks the crowd for Summer’s Grand Finale.

 

All concerts start at 7:00 pm, Gates/Doors open at 5:30 pm.
Admission is $8.00 Adult, $3.00 Youth (6-12), 5 & under Free with adult.
